Carlos Santana with his band Santana is celebrating the 50th anniversary of their first album (also called Santana) this year.

Fusing rock and roll and Latin American jazz, the name Santana has become a brand and is connected to over 20 LPs, 10 Grammy Awards and multiple platinum or gold record certifications.

The Mexican-American guitarist is turning 72 this July but before that the forthcoming album Africa Speaks will be released - on 7 June 2019 - featuring singers Buika and Laura Mvula
