A lot of new, quality music has been or is going to be released but not only by contemporary artists. As a result I collected a TOP 10 of singers and bands that might be oldies but they are still goldies.
1. After at least four decades in business, Rod Stewart released his thirtieth album Blood Red Roses last week, which now is the #1 in the UK.
2. On the same day (28 September 2018) Cher released her ABBA cover album Dancing Queen, which debuted on #2 in the UK.
3. Rick Astley released his eight studio album Beautiful Life in July 2018, which features the singles Beautiful Life and Try.
4. Lisa Stansfield released her eight studio album Deeper in April 2018, which features the Billboard Dance Chart Top 10 single Never Ever.
5. Nile Rodgers & Chic AKA Chic released their ninth studio album It's About Time last week. The record features guest artists like Craig David, Mura Masa, Emeli Sandé or Elton John and reached the UK Top 10.
6. Celebrating their 30th anniversary, the now three-piece man-group Take That is planning to release a Greatest Hits album in 2019 entitled Odyssey featuring old songs in new style.
7. Both celebrating their 25th anniversary and saying goodbye forever as a band, Boyzone are releasing a new (and probably final) album entitled Thank You & Goodnight on 19th November 2018.
8. English new wave band Culture Club featuring Boy George will release a new album entitled Life in November 2018.
9. Looking forward to turning 30 next year, British alternative rock band Suede released their eight album The Blue Hour on 21 September 2018.
10. Paul McCartney released his seventeenth solo album Egypt Station on 7 September 2018, with which Sir JP reached #1 in the USA after 36 years.
