Part five: Festival Sounds

The annual Sziget Festival in Budapest has come to its 26th birthday and I was there 4 days out of 7.

On the Main Stage I have seen live performances by Gorillaz, Mumford & Sons, The Kooks, Parov Stelar, Bonobo, Oscar & The Wolf and Arctic Monkeys.

On the A38 Stage I have listened to ZHU, Everything Everything and Gorgon City.

Whenever I want to escape from the crowd, I visit the World Stage, which offers a huge variety of music styles from all over the world and is a great place to unwind and to dance at the same time.

I have experienced Anima Sound System, Besh-O-Drom and El Juntacadaveres there.

Finally, I have relaxed at the Sziget beach, have seen an outdoor theater performance and have been to the travelling funfair. At the Europe Stage I listened to Electric Fields and in the Arena, I have danced to the sounds of Above & Beyond.

In addition I have checked (but did not entirely see) performances by Lianne La Havas, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Fink, Alle Farben, Nothing But Thieves and Blossoms.

Thanks to the live stream, I was able to catch the gigs of Liam Gallagher, Kaleo and the Goo Goo Dolls comfortably, on my sofa :D
