Gábor is listening to... 2018/20

With the summer approaching, a tidal wave of new music is about to hit the European shores. Here's what you might want to be prepared for:

1. While the whole world is talking about the prospective ABBA reunion, I start to think that the acronym is just a code for the comeback of the Backstreet Boys and their upcoming ninth studio album. And Backstreet's Back, Alright! (Title is entirely fictitious, all boys concerned are adults now and no Swedish band members were harmed or were intended to be).

2. If anyone prefers Swedish pop music, the new Clean Bandit (featuring Demi Lovato) song is probably the closest we have ever gotten to an Ace of Base revival.

3. Two new Jungle tracks have appeared recently, and this is one of them:

4. In case anyone has Familiar Feelings while listening to All My Dreams - that is because it is Roisín Murphy. Murphy formed one-half of British duo Moloko, who have gone on hiatus since 2003 but their epic songs have remained in our ears. Simples!

5. The Place You Can't Remember, The Place You Can't Forget is the title of the forthcoming seventh studio album by British electronica / trance / chill-out producer Chicane.

Release date is 8 June 2018.

6. That brand new Galantis.

7. For some bands going on hiatus might be indefinite, for others it is over before fans even realize what happened. For English electronic music-duo-slash-siblings Disclosure the latter was the case but Ultimatum officially puts an end to it.

An end to whah?

To their hiatus.

But I di'n't kno...

That is because...

Gotcha, dude!

8. One of the most interesting faces of pop is back: singer Gabrielle is either seen with an eye-patch or sunglasses or with her hair stylishly combed to hide her Ptosis.

9. Four Out of Five may be the title of the Arctic Monkeys' new single but regarding their UK Album number ones it is actually six out of six. Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino was released on 11 May 2018.

10. Last but not least, Snow Patrol's Wildness is out next Friday (25 May 2018).
