Gábor is listening to... 2018/5
I randomly picked ten song which may or may not be big in Japan... I mean big in the future.
1. Scottish synth-pop band CHVRCHES are planning to release their third album later this year with the jolly title Love Is Dead. The first single Get Out was released on 31 January.
2. English rock band Editors will release their sixth album Violence on 9 March 2018.
In addition the band will come to Budapest to have a gig at Akvárium Klub on 16 April.
3. American rock band Incubus released their eighth album 8 in 2017 featuring the fourth single The Loneliest, however, its music video appeared on YouTube on 11 January.
4. Australian singer / songwriter Vance Joy (real name James Gabriel Wanderson Keogh) is about to release his second album Nation of Two on 23 February featuring the Platinum-certified single Lay It On Me and the new single We're Going Home.
5. The new (third) album of American rock band X-Ambassadors will probably have the title JOYFUL, which is also the name of the first song after the band's guest appearance on Machine Gun Kelly's single Home. They released a lot of non-album material in 2017 as well, so a new LP is long overdue, however, at the moment fans need to be satisfied with yet another non-album track - which is, by the way, awesome.
6. If Don't You (Forget About Me) is all that you know about Scottish rock band Simple Minds then you might be interested to hear that after more than 40 years the band is Alive and Kicking, presenting their eighteenth studio album Walk Between Worlds - released on 2 February, 2018.
7. Welsh alternative rock band Manic Street Preachers release their thirteenth album entitled Resistance Is Futile on 6 April, 2018. The first single from the album is International Blue.
8. Even though En Vogue's brand new song Rocket and its video reminds me of Cater2U by Destiny's Child, if we really asked the hen-and-egg question there is no doubt that the former would take the crown. En Vogue is an iconic American R&B trio, formerly a quartet featuring seven Grammy Award Nominations, who - despite having only two members of the original line-up - are about to release a brand new album entitled Electric Café.
9. Not much is known about The Young Fathers but the fact that they formed in Scotland and that their debut album won the Mercury Prize in 2014. Cocoa Sugar, their third album, will be out in March 2018.
10. Australian singer / songwriter and producer Hayden James has just entered the Aria Top 50 Singles Chart with his latest song Numb (featuring Graace).
