We may call it a paradox situation that legendary American girl group TLC is back with a new album because on one hand the name is the same, on the other hand it is not a group anymore – unfortunately.

With records behind their back like the only female group with diamond certification by RIAA (Recording Industry Association of America) for their second album CrazySexyCool or the only R&B group reaching Million certification by RIAJ (Recording Industry Association of Japan) for their third album FanMail, TLC consisted of members T-Boz, Left Eye and Chilli, however, singer/rapper Lisa „Left Eye” Lopez died in a car accident in April 2002.

Seven months after the tragedy the remaining two members completed the group's fourth album 3D, which remains the original line-up’s last record, however T-Boz and Chilli have finally produced new material. Continuing as a duo, TLC will release their fifth album TLC on 30th June 2017.
