Gábor is listening to... 2017/01

Happy New Year!

Don't know what you are up to this year but I am still listening to what's worth listening to - every week something exquistite. It might be old, it might be brand new, but it should be recommendable in terms of music, lyrics, creativity, freshness or lifetime achievement of the artist.

Even though Ed Sheeran announced his comeback on 1st January, I spent the first week of 2017. listening to Duran Duran's 2015 album Paper Gods. The band's latest album has a state-of-the-art sound and a red-carpet list of personnel working on it, including producer Mark Ronson or Mr. Hudson and Nile Rodgers as guest artists and co-producers as well - not to mention Kiesza, Janelle Monáé and Lindsey Lohan providing vocals plus ex-Red-Hot-Chili-Pepper John Frusciante playing guitar on four of the tracks.

As Duran Duran's fourteenth studio album, Paper Gods reached Top 10 in the USA and in the UK as well, becoming number one in Argentina.
