Twenty Years of Summer (1996-2016)
2014
This year was represented by massive hits that were popular before, after and during the summer, for example Budapest by George Ezra, All Of Me by John Legend, Waves by Mr Probz, Stay With Me by Sam Smith or Chandelier by Sia.
Further pop tunes included Problem by Ariana Grande, Am I Wrong by Nico & Vinz, Ghost by Ella Henderson, Eez-Eh by Kasabian, One Minute More by Capital Cities, Rude by Magic! or Maps by Maroon 5.
Also, Michael Jackson was brought back to life by Justin Timberlake with a special collaboration entitled Love Never Felt So Good.
Finally clubs were playing Changes by Faul & Wad Ad feat. PNAU, Prayer In C by Lilly Wood & The Prick, I Wanna Feel by Secondcity, Nobody To Love by Sigma as well as Wankelmut's My Head Is A Jungle became a hit in the UK a year after its release.
Nevertheless, the 15 songs I can think about right now to best represent the summer of 2014 are the following:
Sing
Hideaway
Summer
Faded
Sky Full Of Stars
She Moves
The Sun
When The Beat Drops Out
Netzwerk
No More I Sleep
I Got You
My Love
Wasted So Much Time
Love Someone
Calm After The Storm
