From this year on I spent three summers at Lake Balaton as a receptionist therefore most of the songs from this period of time remind me of fun and sunny times near the shore.

Even if Gotye (Somebody I Used To Know), Fun (We Are Young) and Carly Rae Jepsen (Call Me Maybe) rocketed from the earlier stages of 2012 or even from 2011, their songs landed in the middle of the year and definitively lasted the entire summer.

Loreen's Euphoria winning the Eurovision Song Contest for Sweden was also inevitable.

Other remarkable songs included This Is Love by Will I Am & Eva Simons, Summer Paradise by Simple Plan & Sean Paul, Little Talks by Of Monsters And Men, Guardian by Alanis Morissette, Only Love by Ben Howard, Too Close by Alex Clare and Sad by Elton John Vs. PNAU.

Finally Lykke Li's I Follow Rivers dominated the charts all over Europe.
